Alan!

'I think we need to honor the silences in our lives and not force ourselves to write just because we think we “should.” There’s a rhythm to our lives, so it’s “live a little, write a little, live a little, write a little."'

Loved your blog too Ellen, and subscribed right away! In my opinion your approach to writing is in line with the Tao: “things that are forced grow for a while, but then wither away.” ;)

How wonderful to see your name in my in-box this morning. I LOVE your writings. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'm having a similar experience with a three-month immobilization to heal from an injury. Unexpected, but so the time is so appreciated. Now that the time is ending, I am not eager to return to the fray, but will do so gradually.

To do or not to do: maybe that is the question?

Again thanks
